REBUILD NEPAL PROJECT
This is a Community Trip put together by the Buddha Odyssey to assist villages of Nepal directly by providing building assistance in local schools in the districts most affected by the earthquake on 25 Apr 2015. The trip also explores the magnificent Annapurna Region with rhododendron forest and assists the region with the creation of jobs and boosting the economy.

Shree Anter Jyoti Secondary Higher School is located in Western Nepal, Gorkha District. The Secondary School has 470 students enrolled from infant to year 12. The school was completely demolished by the recent earthquake. The initial assistance from national and international sectors meant makeshift classrooms were built and kids could return to school 5 weeks after the earthquake.

We will be assisting the School in building up walls, assisting in clearing the area, and extend their makeshift school before the government steps in with concrete plans of rebuilding the school which might take some time. Following four days of community project work at the School we’ll embark on a five day trek into the heart of the Annapurnas, ascending through small settlements and pristine forests to the alpine heights of Ghorepani & Ghandruk.
